Consulting and Career Experience
With more than 25 years in managing not-for-profit associations for healthcare and allied health professionals, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to every consulting engagement. As Executive Vice President and CEO of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Mark introduced the leadership team to the knowledge-based strategic governance approach and revamped the society’s education, membership and governance philosophies using this methodology. He successfully developed a high performing staff culture, generated increased revenue and reserves, and expanded the society’s membership.
During his tenure, Mark also lead the society in obtaining its first corporate grants and conducting its first capital campaign for research. Among his special interests is developing strategies for using the latest technology to achieve an organization’s goals.
